2030 Watchlist Incoming: Colorado’s Next Wave
In this article:
The 2030 class is already giving our Colorado scouts plenty to talk about! We have been keeping tabs on this group, and the potential is hard to miss. Across the court, we are seeing young players making an impact in every phase of the game. That includes DS/Ls, setters, middles, and pins.
Even more exciting, some of these athletes are already making an impact at the varsity level. That is a big deal for such a young class. Of course, there is still plenty of development ahead. However, the early signs are very exciting.

is another 2030 name starting to make waves, previously featured in Transition Attack Thursday: Class of 2030 Bringing the Heat. As a freshman RS/OH, Roberts is continuing to settle into the high school game while building confidence with every opportunity.
Her attacking ability is already something to watch. Now, the focus is on turning that firepower into a consistent weapon. Roberts also has valuable club experience to build from, giving her a strong foundation as she adjusts to the high school level. Meanwhile, her confidence continues to grow. That development is especially exciting to see in such a young pin. As Roberts gets more opportunities, we will be watching closely to see how her game continues to take shape.

: A Setter Who Keeps You Guessing
Kayling Vlcek is a young setter who continues to stand out on our radar. We previously featured her in Building Their Name: Class of 2030 Setters Radar Alert, where her ability to work with different hitters caught our attention.
Vlcek does a nice job spreading the offense around the court. She can make the middle part of the attack while also getting her pins involved, which gives her plenty of options to work with during a rally. Her connection with her middle is particularly impressive. She creates opportunities there without making the offense feel predictable.

has already stepped into high school volleyball and made her presence known. We featured her in No Fly Zone: Top Blockers, where her potential immediately stood out.
At 6-foot-3, May brings serious length to the net. More importantly, she is adjusting to the pace of high school volleyball very well. She has already shown an ability to move and stay involved around the net. Her willingness to learn has also caught our attention. That coachability matters as she continues developing her timing and confidence. And honestly, this is just the beginning for May.

And This Is Just the Start!
These six names are only a small look at the talent developing within Colorado's 2030 class. Our scouts are seeing strong potential across every position. We have DS/Ls making big defensive plays, setters controlling offenses, middles creating problems at the net, and pins already showing they can handle high-level competition.
The 2030 Watchlist is coming soon, and we are excited to share more of the names that have caught our attention!
One important reminder: the first watchlist is not the final word. These athletes are young, and their games are going to change a lot over the next few years. We will continue adding names, making adjustments, and watching new players as they emerge. If a player is not on the first list, there is absolutely no reason to get discouraged. Our radar will keep growing right alongside this class.
The Colorado Prep Dig team is excited about this group, and we cannot wait to see where the 2030 class goes next!
