Canby Varsity Tournament 2026: Impact Players

On Saturday October 17th, Canby High School played host to a great late season varsity tournament and is definitely brought out some great players to showcase for this article. With only a couple weeks until the Oregon state tournament, teams are still trying to add to their records and hopefully get themselves in a position to make a post-season run to wrap up a strong 2026 fall season.

This is the first of two parts, recapping a few of the top players from various participating schools, who stood out throughout the day for their respective programs.

Follow Me on Instagram - @prepdigjason

LA SALLE HS

Garone is a very versatile player, with the ability to play in the middle or swing on the pin. She is very dynamic off the jump, allowing her to be a big hitter over or around the block, scoring at will for her team. She has a very smooth and quick arm swing, but also has a sneaky and effective off-speed game to keep opponents off balance. She also does a great job in the back court with lots of skills — from serve-receive passing, defensive digging, serving, and even swinging from the 10' attack line. Definitely a great overall player.

IG - @adah_rose22

Martin has great body and ball control throughout her game. Her serve-receive skills are top-notch, with great movement within the lanes to put herself in a great position to be in-system the majority of the time. On defense, she reads hitters well, allowing her to get around the block and in the line of attack of opposing hitters. She also moves quickly for off-speed shots in pursuit of a great save. She also has a nice serve from behind the end line.

IG - @5o3.abbiee

SUNSET HS

Harnden has an outstanding repertoire of shots when hitting on the left pin. She can score on so many different ways and to so many different spots on the court, making it difficult for opponents to know what to expect from her. She is an excellent six-rotation player for her team, being relied on a great deal from her coaches and teammates to help the team win from anywhere on the court.

IG - @margaretharnden29

Easton is in one word - Consistent. She does an excellent job of keeping the ball in play or scoring points for her team. She is very versatile with both setting and hitting, and even on defense. She has great decision-making instincts as part of her high volleyball IQ that she brings to the floor. A reliable overall player who seems to have a ton of fun out on the court with her teammates.

IG - @sawyerjoy_

BONUS COVERAGE - WESTVIEW HS

Although not at the Canby tournament, Westview High School was another team that I got the opportunity to watch versus above Sunset HS in a regular conference match, and evaluate this past week with a couple of players that really stood out.

Such a great overall player on the left pin, Meier is a true six-rotation outside hitter who can really bring the heat behind her swings, especially down the line. She seems to love to hit that powerful line shot outside the block and surprising the line digger. She is very aggressive with her fast arm swing but also extremely smart to know when not to swing and use the off-speed shots to find holes in the defense. Excellent in the back court as well both with ball control (passing and defense) and even being a major part of her team's offense from behind the 10' attack line. The Seattle Pacific commit definitely is a great pick-up for a college program.

IG - @abbeymeier_vb

Kekaualua is a ton of fun to watch play. She is a very undersized setter, but she absolutely does not let her size keep her from being a huge impact on the court. Even though she doesn't end up assisting with blocks when in the front row, she still is critical to her team's excellent 5-1 offense. She is so quick, dynamic, working extremely hard to get her hands on the ball as much as possible rather than settling for a platform set. She has outstanding hands on the set, great power to push the outside ball from anywhere on the court while also keeping opponents guessing when she will run first tempo sets to Westview's outstanding middles. She is fearless and passionate on the court and it is infectious to her teammates.

IG - @logan_kekaualua_2028vb

Check out Canby Varsity Tournament 2026: MORE Impact Players, on the PrepDig Oregon page as well.
