State and Star Power Clash in Cincy on Saturday

Ursuline and St. Ursula play host to some top teams and talent on Saturday as both Gilmour Academy and Magnificat make the trip to the Cincy area for some cross-division and non-conference action. All four teams are typically in the mix for deep postseason play while also featuring some of Ohio's best prep volleyball talent across their respective rosters and all classes at the high school level. Here's a look at some key athletes for each team to catch this weekend.    Forrest (*pictured), a University of Washington commit, is one of the top senior prospects in Ohio. She is athletic and versatile with ability to impact the game on both sides of the ball, including scoring through different attack points and tempos. Her ability to lift and drive is a big challenge for every opponent. Forrest is a veteran leader and contributor for Ursuline as she is currently among GGCL leaders offesnively at 2.8 k/s and in the blocking phase at 3.6 b/m.     Green is one of the top setters in the GGCL as it is a tight race among some of the top distributors across Ohio in one conference. While currently second in total assists with 193, she leads the league in average at 10.7 a/s. In her third year at the varsity level, Green has dished 1,142 total assists. She's a savvy floor leader with touch and control that rivals most in her ability to consistently locate her hitters into high quality attacking situations.     Radaszewski is second on the team offensively for Ursuline as the junior, as expected, is performing at a higher rate than her effort in 2025. She is top-10 offensively in the GGLC at 2.4 k/s while among the top three defensively at a career best 15.6 digs per contest. Her athleticism is among some of the best in the league as she has explosive qualities to get off the grough and swing. She recently led her team to a big 3-0 win over GGCL rival St. Ursula as she earned a double-double with 10 kills and 11 digs.     The 5'11 pin leads Magnificat offensively at a career best 3.8 k/s average. More impressively is that she is terminal at a high clip, including a .433 efficiency and 57% kill rate. Regula has a prolific quality to her point scoring as she can get up and swing with power and pace through a broad range of the court. The most recent evidence of this were the 20 kills she delivered in Magnificat's 3-2 win over Huduson earlier this week.     McDavid is one of the top setters in the Ohio 2029 class as she returned to Magnificat following a solid display of her skills and floor leadership during the club season with her AVC team. At 5'7, she is efficient in her pursuit of the set, which allows her to take risk to deliver the ball in tougher situations. She can find her middles when on the move off the net, can sling it against the flow with tempo, and is creative in how she balances the floor.     The top prospect in the Ohio senior class and one of the most highly sought recruits across all 2027s across the country. The #12 prospect nationally, Williams is an athletic and physical force at the net. Her 6'4 length looks bigger regarding the impact she can make on both sides of the ball with how well she gets above the net. Seeing chances in the middle and on the right pin, Williams is a tough out by opponents as she has increased her impact this season to 3.6 k/s while also slowing opponents down with a career best 3.8 b/m average. She is committed to DI national power Pitt.     Anders is one of the most effective arms in the 2029 class as she leads Gilmour Academy offensively at 3.6 k/s. The 6'0 pin has some of the best six-rotation tools among Ohio sophomores as she competes with aggressively and with confidence in what she can do. The recent club season established her stock as someone to keep an eye on as she uses her length well to terminate, which will be fun to watch against some really good net defense this weekend.     Waleskowski is the Bulldogs' top offensive threat right now as she is currently third in the GGCL with a 3.4 k/s average. The Belmont commit is a threat from either pin as she has a big arm with high contact and good pace. Her best season so far was her 2025 effort at 244 total kills as she'll soon surpass the 500 mark for her career.     Frietch is one of the top freshman in the greater Cincy area as the defensive dandy is among the leaders in the GGCL at 3.6 digs per set. In spite of being a younger competitor at the varsity level, she competes with a fearless approach as she has already faced some big arms this season and will certainly see more of that this weekend. Her patient preparation and quick reactions are key assets to her execution and success.
