Expert Analysis
Mike Bryant | Prep Dig Scout
This is a an attacker that might not stand as tall as some of her front row teammates in other positions, but she may bring some of the biggest impact with her arm and her 5’11 length. When this offense is in system with all their options in motion, Regula is a pin that knows how to take advantage of the tempo and space that can develop through how fast the ball can get to the edge of the outside blocker. She also made some good plays defensively in reading space and reacting to the ball coming over the net.

Regula has a maturity about her when hitting that you don’t see all the time in sophomore-level athletes. At 5’11, she has an athletic frame with dynamic arm work in the air. Her attacking lift with both arms not only helps get her on balance in the air, but it is a key factor to her combining her vision and awareness with the control she can execute to keep force on the ball. She is equally successful at swinging where the ball takes her or in guiding the ball towards space she sees in the air. AVC 16 Red is the #14 seed overall.

Regula is one of those primary hitters on the left side that competes with great purpose and a gritty quality to do what her team needs. Her skill foundation is complete in what she provides around the court. She has good footwork in the transition phase to create a good runway with momentum and lift to utilize her 5’11 frame well. At the end of her approach she has a nice double-arm lift that leads to some deceptive arm speed to contact with force and range.
