Bianca is a defensive specialist/libero by trade but is talented enough to play all six rotations on the pin. She was efficient, consistent, and smart. Bianca excels in defense and serve receive and is quick in transition. Honestly, I never would have known she wasn’t a true six-rotation outside hitter unless it was pointed out to me. She is dynamic and very athletic.

One thing that I really like about Nistor is that I’ve seen her play equally well in the middle back as I have in left back. I’m a big believer that liberos should be able to play every back row position at a high level. Nistor has been on the rise, getting better and better over the past couple years. Her hard work is paying off and she is starting to shine. Nistor is a calm player in the back court that keeps things simple with her effort and confidence.

Nistor is a top defensive specialist in the 2024 class. She was a role player for Wayzata in their big run to take another Class AAAA State Championship title. Nistor’s also exploded into the Northern Lights ranks making their 17-1 team which is no easy feat.

Nistor would be a starting libero on just about any high school team but California commit, Sophia Johnson Sophia Johnson 6'0" | MB Cambridge-Isanti | 2025 MN , held that position for Wayzata. Nistor took control of the controllables and made the absolute best out of her defensive specialist role and helped Wayzata to another Class AAAA State Championship title. She is so steady and made a single serving error among 17 serving attempts, 24 serve receptions and 14 digs. You can find her on the Northern Lights 17-1 team this winter.
