Dyas has been a beast in the front row ever since stepping foot onto the Notre Dame campus as a freshman in 2022. Dyas pounds down overpassed balls and executed the slides to perfection against the Crusaders. Not enough can be said about her personality both on and off the court. The Toledo commit finds ways to break tension when things become too uptight. Dyas said every player is super competitive because they play for such a strong program, not taking for granted the honor it is to wear the Notre Dame uniform. However, Dyas said when the game is no longer fun, there’s no reason to play it so she tries to incorporate fun by cracking some jokes, trying to lift the morale of her teammates, adding she believes the team plays 10 times better when playing lighthearted and fun as opposed to serious.

Dyas has a great sense of humor off the court, but she’s ferocious on the court. Dyas channels that energy well with her blocking and hitting. Dyas came through in a big way on her 17fh birthday. Mercy had issues handling her on short sets in the middle. Dyas does not get deterred by blocks. She keeps swinging and often puts balls down on her next follow-throughs. Dyas landed a number of key aces in the Notre Dame win. Dyas said the Pandas were motivated by the recent MaxPreps rankings that put them behind Mercy and the Pandas proved something.

Dyas is not only instrumental to the team on the court, but also off the court. She keeps her teammates loose and with her sense of humor. They turn around and follow her on the court. Dyas controls the net well with her size. The timing on her blocks is second to none and she consistently finds ways to put balls down on solid blockers. She can angle balls off blocks and out of bounds and pound them past the blocks and to the ground. She has great reactions after the team wins the point. Dyas helped the 17-1 Tsunami team finish third in the 17 Open in Atlanta.

Dyas made a splash as a freshman for state power Notre Dame and has continued to grow as her career has progressed. Similar to other players at the top of this list, Dyas overpowers teams with her size and quickness. She is a sound swing blocker, making teams have to hit over her, thus allowing defensive specialists to pick up balls easier. Dyas pounds balls from all over the net. She is especially tough with crease shots. Dyas finished the season with 233 kills, 22 solo blocks and 40 assisted blocks, helping Notre Dame go 34-4 with a third straight 9th Region crown and state semifinal finish.
