Sam is a high-flying pin with an explosive approach. She is fast in transition and pass-to-attack. This is a player who is hungry for the ball and loves to make a dig or service reception and then transition to swing. She can terminate at the net and make momentum-changing plays. Her sheer athleticism is impressive. Combine that with her great court awareness and she is an absolute force on the court.

Hoeksema was taking some monster swings on the ball at the expo this weekend. It was really fun to see how she has developed over the past couple months. Hoeksema is more confident and able to take aggressive and effective swings more consistently.

Hoeksema wasn’t holding back at the showcase and I was so happy to see it. She was taking some monster swings on the ball and proving to be a top prospect. Every time I see her play she’s better than the time before and that makes her really exciting. She can put up a big block and she takes big swings on just about anything sent her way. Her stock definitely went up for me this weekend!

Sam is an athlete I want to see play more volleyball. She served at the state tournament and tallied up a handful of aces and digs. She played a really solid role for Sussex Hamilton and has the potential to do more in her senior season. She will be a player to watch at the Top 250 Expo.

Sam is an impact pin who competed at the Badger Region High Performance Camp. Just making it to camp is a huge accomplishment. She was also playing up a year during the club season on a talented and fast-paced team. Sam has an explosive approach and fast and powerful arm swing. She can play all six rotations and adds a lot of value in both the front and back row.
