<p>Lone Star Regionals kicks off weekend two in just a few short days. So many Texas teams have already qualified and many are in the open division. While we won't see those open division teams this weekend we will see a variety of very good volleyball happening all over the convention center. Take a look at the best pool combinations in the 15-bid division.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Pool 5 - STVA, Roots, Katy United, Texas 512</h2>

<p>STVA 15 Mizuno will be in a battle with Roots 151 for the pool title. STVA just brings something extra to the court. They are one of the most consistent teams to date with libero <strong>Karis Carpenter </strong>heading up the serve receive. They will make very few errors, and Roots will have to have a dominant game from their power hitters like <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='245380' first='Kaitlyn' last='Hutchins']</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='318200' first='Ava' last='Carrasquillo']</strong>. Katy United 15 Adidas has its fair share of ball control studs with liberos <strong>Sophia Mendoza </strong>and <strong>Moriah Poe</strong>. This pool could turn out interesting if Katy United could get an upset over the 1 or 2 seed in the pool.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Pool 6 - Woodlands Rev, Valley Venom, Texstar 15, AJV Wilco</h2>

<p>Woodlands Revolution 15 Premier already has the USA bid and Valley Venom has been a few games away from a bid all season. Major contributors for Woodlands Revolution have been middles <strong>Tori Leggiero</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='269824' first='Natalie' last='Kettler']</strong>. The team's blocking has been a big part of its success this season. Valley Venom has 2 big playmakers at the setting position with <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='203942' first='Aleena' last='Zuniga'] </strong>and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='356207' first='Alexie' last='Martinez']</strong>. Both know the IQ behind the position and have excellent ball distribution. Libero <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='340360' first='Juliet' last='Trevino']</strong> seems to always make the play on defense and keep her team in the game. Texstar is always a surprise team that can come in and upset early on because they are one of those teams that come in and plays with no fear.</p>
