The Future is Here – New to 2025

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It doesn't feel like it was that long ago when the 2025s were attending their first Prep Dig Showcase and they were all fresh new faces to me. Now we're releasing an update on our 2025 prospects and I'm reminded how deep this class is in the state of Minnesota. Some are raising their stock while others are breaking through into the rankings. And there are quite a few!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block is very new to me but her arm speaks for itself.  She doesn't hesitate to use the block, speed up her approach, or use a crafty roll shot for the point.  Barns can terminate from either pin as well as the back row and she's smart about taking a tight set and recycling it.  She can also hit a faster tempo making her hard to remember Laaksonen from one of our Prep Dig Showcases but I recently saw one of her highlight videos from AAU Nationals and she was absolutely electric for [program_tooltip program_id='428866' first='Vital' last=''].  She has a high contact to go with really long limbs and the ability to work a number of angles.  Laaksonen is not afraid to finish with her thumb down or step in and take that first contact to get things started.  It is no surprise she was picked up pretty quick by Western totally took me by surprise at the Prep Dig Stock Up Showcase in August.  She is what I refer to as a total hidden gem that is explosive and has a nice high contact on the ball.  She has a great swing and works really hard in is not new to me but I somehow missed ranking her earlier.  I will blame the fact that I sometimes think of her as a Wisconsin player since she plays for Xtreme out of LaCrosse, WI and I've had the pleasure of working with her at the Badger Region High Performance camps.  Myhre is not one to be forgotten though.  She has long limbs and a stifling block that can fluster any opposing attacker.  Myhre is loud, active, and involved on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball.  I've also seen her now play both middle and terminate from either pin.  She is a very exciting prospect coming out of caught my eye at the Prep Dig Stock Up Showcase when I saw her almost put a ball through the floor.  She plays high school for East Ridge and after losing Mikayla McDougall to graduation I would anticipate Belfield stepping into a bigger role to balance the attack along with dynamic lefty, [player_tooltip player_id='117644' first='Hadley' last='Burger'].  They should have a core group of returners including [player_tooltip player_id='166331' first='Giselle' last='Thao'] and [player_tooltip player_id='221896' first='Alexis' last='Opland'] to be a team to watch this was completely unknown to me until the Prep Dig Stock Up Showcase.  She was driving hard on every play and taking a really hard swing whereve the split in the block was.  Ashland saw it so well and did a great job of exposing
