Austin Kingsley | Prep Dig Scout
We’re only two years removed from Guardian Angels Central Catholic earning the No. 1 seed in the Class D1 tournament. That season brought Ridder to our attention as she lit up strong defenses from the middle blocker spot. Ridder terminated near 0.300 last season and dominated the blocking category for the Bluejays. Her senior season will be defined by the team’s pursuit of a postseason return.

Ridder’s big breakthrough came last year as Guardian Angels Central Catholic earned Class D1’s No. 1 seed in the state tournament. Her sophomore campaign was exceptional, but Ridder has raised the bar through her defensive contributions. She’s scoring on 1.1 blocks per set while also adding to a sky-high 0.300 hitting average. The Bluejays have a lot to build around with Ridder having another year of eligibility after 2024.

Ridder is determined to keep Guardian Angels Central Catholic in the postseason conversation. The Bluejays were last year’s top seed in Class D1 but moved to C2 for the 2024 campaign. Their star junior attacker is listed as a middle blocker but can act as another pin hitter with her ability to terminate on high sets. Ridder has put down 3.4 kills per set so far this year and is doing it on an outstanding 0.344 clip. This colossal uptick in production will help GACC spar with some of Class C2’s best while pursuing another November trip to Lincoln.
