With our recent release of the updated ranking for the class of 2025 [check them out here] comes a spotlight article on the incredibly talented top 10 from the class.

#1 [player_tooltip player_id='161159' first='Paige' last='Thies']

Thies is a complete six-rotation outside hitter. With an explosive approach and a fast arm swing, her attack is terminal from anywhere on the court. Her ability to obliterate a quick set to the pin was noted this high school season. She plays the backcourt with confidence and makes great defensive reads to keep the ball alive. A recent commit to the University of Arizona, she is a big get for the Wildcats!

#2 [player_tooltip player_id='161158' first='Kamden' last='Mitchell']

Mitchell is a complete six-rotation setter and can confidently execute a 5-1. At 5'10”, when she gets into the front row, she becomes incredibly offensive and poses a threat to opponents on the second contact. Her location consistency and ability to turn a bad pass into a hittable ball is next level. With excellent court vision, she consistently gets the ball to the right player at the right time to terminate. A sand and indoor commit to Oregon, she has the opportunity to make a big impact at the college level.

#3 [player_tooltip player_id='161826' first='Taelyn' last='Bentley']

Bentley is the #1 middle blocker in the class of 2025, so there is no question her play is legit. Aggressive in transition, she makes athletic moves on the court to be available to the setter consistently. With a quick step close, she is explosive off the ground, terminating the ball at a multitude of angles. A three-sport athlete (basketball, track and field), Bentley is as athletic as they come. She is still uncommitted; her recruiting ceiling is very high. She will be a major pick-up to any program that signs her.

#4 [player_tooltip player_id='257559' first='Addy' last='Azavedo']

Azavedo is the most consistent, quick, and controlled defender in the state. Her ability to command the backrow is noted. She takes a lot of court on serve receive and is not afraid to take a ball out of her zone to put up a perfect pass. Her read on the attack to put herself in a good position to make a play at the ball is top-notch. She has not committed to a school yet but exhibits all the confidence and skill needed to play at an elite college level.

#5 [player_tooltip player_id='161950' first='Cheyenne' last='Green']

Green has risen to the top of the class steadily with each update. She continues to improve her game rapidly. She has a great tempo to her approach; with a whippy arm swing, she buries the ball all over the court. She also has great court vis and sees the block in front of her to her advantage. She tools the block while mixing it up with tips and shots into open court space. Committed to play for Oregon State, I am stoked to see what she will do for the Beavers!

# 6 [player_tooltip player_id='257561' first='Gabby' last='Hill']

Hill has one of the strongest arms in the state. When she connects with the ball, it is absolutely booming. She makes her presence known early on in matches and continues to dominate throughout the match, unrelentling. She has great attacking range but has a sweet spot for the sharp cross. She is an offensive threat to every team she confronts. Also, her backrow play has vastly improved over the last year. Still uncommitted, she will be a fantastic pick-up to any program that signs her.

#7 [player_tooltip player_id='161820' first='Mylee' last='Blake']

Blake is another athlete who has steadily moved her way into the top 8, having just broken into the top 20 last spring. She is dynamic at both pins, finding ways to place the ball in the open court and score. A six-rotation attacker, she makes great reads on defense and, with her long stature, is able to make some impressive reaches to save the ball. Still uncommitted, Blake will be a stellar pick-up to any program that signs her.

#8 [player_tooltip player_id='498821' first='Avalynn' last='Roundy']

Roundy is an explosive middle blocker. She is a formidable presence as both an attacker and a blocker. Athletic, with a productive first step, she is able to get to the pins and close the block to create an absolute wall at the net. She utilizes her impressive leaping abilities and quick arm to rack up kills. Committed to Grand Canyon University, she is an exciting signee for the Lopes!

#9 [player_tooltip player_id='161841' first='Giana' last='Elgarico']

Elgarico might have one of the highest vertical jumps in the state. This explosiveness, combined with her fast swing, is how she is able to dominate at the national level as a 5'11” middle blocker. During high school season, she transitioned to the outside, proving she is just as lethal from the pin. She is currently committed to Oregon for sand, but with a good chunk of indoor play left, she has the time left to potentially sign for court as well.

#10 [player_tooltip player_id='161827' first='Nyah' last='Doan Mitchell']

Doan-Mitchell continues to flex her adaptability to play on either pin. A right-handed attacker, she is deadly from both pins, nailing the ball down the line and sharp cross to rack up kills. She is developing some extraordinary backcourt skills with an improved confidence on serve receive, and defense. Still uncommitted, Doan-Mitchell will be an outstanding pick-up to any program that signs her.
