Long did execute some nice ones, but she too made a number of good plays on defense. She does not mind lunging some to keep plays alive and get West Jessamine into a sound offensive rhythm. Long handled some well-struck crosses and took minimal steps to balls on defense. There were not many aces in the game, but Long did keep Whitley County out of system some with her serving.

Long (pictured) is a great option at the opposite hitter spot for the Colts. She takes hard swings at the pins with a great approach to the net and mixes in tips. Long also plays a big role in the solid West Jessamine net defense. Long teams up well with teammates for formidable double blocks. Long had 110 kills, 50 assisted blocks and 112 digs for the Colts this past fall.
