Hensley’s play has improved drastically since last club season and has continued to do so this club season. Hensley makes a lot of contributions to the loaded 17 Elite team with sound passes and rips from the middle and outside. Her size lets her hit over and around blockers many different ways. Hensley hopes to be freed up to do more things this fall for Lafayette with more balance, particularly from the middles, who will bring more varsity experience this season.

Lexi will join forces with Lex United for the 2026 season. An impressive player coming off a solid HS season where we saw a ton of talent that makes her one of the top tier for 2026. A lethal swing and an equally impressive block will make Lexi a force to deal with on the court for this season. We see her being a big contributor to the front line on deeply talented roster that should rise to the top and she fits perfectly. Hensley will no doubt put out in 110% effort as always as we see her rise to occasion for 2026. She will dominate!

Hensley delivered consistently on the outside for the Generals. She has solid ball control and court awareness. Hensley makes things happen even when the set is not on target. She uses her size well to put up solid blocks and supports teammates well both on and off the court.

Lexi is becoming a force to recon with on the court. She has put in the work and it’s showing producing super kills from the pin with beautiful technique and power. She has excellent placement in addition with good court awareness to get those kills and they are adding up! Lexi will swing heartily and doesn’t need the perfect set to do so, hitting equally impressive tight to the net as well. Lexi can put up some big blocks with impressive reach and technique closing it off on the front row. She has great timing and easily puts herself into position to deny opponents with great play awareness. She provides good cover for her teammates and it supportive on the court to hear team. Lexi has developed into a top player and is well on her way to higher play.

Hensley does a great job powering balls through blocks. Hensley takes good approaches to the net then powers balls to the ground with a great wrist snap. Hensley goes hard after balls defensively. Hensley said she has been working on the timing of her swings with setter Elise Trimble Elise Trimble 5'10" | S Lafayette | 2026 State KY , noting it has hit a peek at this point in the season.

Lexi completes a strong frontline for her team but by no means cannot stand alone! She brings a consistently strong play with loads of talent and skill to the table in her own right! With strong play from either pin, we loved how Lexi performed, playing confidently and consistently making hits and kills. She has great ball control to get those balls between the blockers and has an excellent vertical to help her do so with a nice downward kill from an effective snap. She is strong from either pin and gives herself plenty of room for a big attack with good impulsion and vertical, which she displayed blocking also with good reach. She can play a ball off the net with fast reflexes providing good cover for the block, and can dig a ball up to keep the play alive. Lexi easily positions herself on the pin and doesn’t need the perfect swing to fire and showed off some beautiful cross court hits swinging confidently and accurately. She will be one to watch closely, she is already leaving her mark! Exciting future for her!

Hensley has the size and talent to turn into a solid player for the Generals. Hensley has developed a good rhythm, especially with crosses on go routes. Hensley does a good job disrupting things at the net. On defense, she makes the simple passes. Hensley said the team will be good once they get in the gym more and get their rhythm back.
