About Olivia

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a 6 rotation setter and right side hitter that loves the opportunity to hit from outside and middle. I consider myself to be a good teammate first. I love pushing myself to the next level at every opportunity.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My best quality is being a good teammate that is always encouraging to my team and try to stay focused on the next play. I excel under a coach that gives specific feedback. I do not get rattled easily and try to focus on next point.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved with Fellowship For Christian Athletes, Fellowship Student Ministries and National Honor Society. I also enjoy riding horses (barrels and poles) and beach volleyball.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I am strong in my faith and I know the importance of daily devotion and trusting Gods plan for me. I have a younger sister with Down syndrome and Autism and enjoy working with special needs kids and adults. I have learned the importance of balancing what is important and staying focused on those things.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I understand the importance of hard work all the time. Volleyball and school have taught me to push myself to be my best and don’t ever be “comfortable” with where I am. Every challenge is a part of Gods plan and pressure is part of that process, as well as a privilege.

What type of college are you looking for?

I would like to find a home away from home. I would like to find a school that offers an animal science or sports management program.
