Let’s stick with the setters. Bartunek landed on our radar after guiding Nebraska ONE 15 Titanium to some impressive performances at the Open level. We expected her to excel as a sophomore at Freeman High School, but 2025 went above and beyond the billing. Bartunek churned out over ten assists per set to rank among Nebraska’s elite at her position. Best of all, this savvy distributor was at her best when postseason pressure ramped up. The Falcons’ state championship triumph wouldn’t have been possible without her.

There’s nothing like a state championship to boost your stock. Bartunek was a fabulous distributor for Nebraska ONE 15 Titanium this spring, but she took another step forward en route to Freeman’s Class C2 triumph. She dished out over ten assists per set while establishing herself as a frontcourt attacking threat, too. Bartunek already looks like one of Nebraska’s most dynamic 2028 setters.

The Freeman offense is humming, and we have to give some credit to Bartunek for running the show. We saw this sophomore setter compete at the Open level with Nebraska ONE 15 Titanium this spring, so Bartunek was battle-tested heading into this fall campaign. That positive momentum led to back-to-back tournament appearances for Freeman. However, the Falcons are going deeper than last year after Bartunek accumulated 48 assists in Thursday’s win over defending runner-up Thayer Central.

Freeman High School laid a strong foundation with last year’s tournament appearance, and Bartunek has kept the good times rolling with this year’s 9-2 mark. Her exceptional showcase outing was the perfect precursor to a thrilling 2025 season with Nebraska ONE 15 Titanium. Bartunek contributed to last fall’s breakout campaign with the Falcons but has taken another leap forward in Year 2 with 8.6 assists per set. We’ve also seen Bartunek flourish at the net while providing the physicality needed to defend against opposing left-side hitters. The state tournament remains the standard for Freeman in 2025.

We’re venturing back to Wave 2 of AAU Nationals to visit with Nebraska ONE 15 Titanium, the lone Nebraska entry in 15 Open. Bartunek has taken full advantage of 15 Titanium’s challenging 2025 schedule and has led at the setter spot throughout. Freeman High School has several notable veterans for this year’s team, but Bartunek is making her case to be a high-impact underclassman.

Freeman High School is clearly contributing to 15 Titanium’s success on the national club stage. Bartunek joins Otto on the list of standout Falcons who are thriving at the Open level with Nebraska ONE 15 Titanium. This savvy setter plays around the dial for 15 Titanium, allowing us to see Bartunek’s full skill set along the net. She competes with the kind of edge and hustle that teams need from their setter, and this intensity should ramp up further in Orlando. Our lone Great Plains representative in 15 Open is ready to make some noise.

Nebraska ONE 15 Titanium has been well represented in this week’s features, so let’s include a setter who helps pilot the operation. Bartunek is a dynamic distributor who will eagerly establish herself as an attacking option in the front row. The Freeman product was one of our top setters from last year’s Freshman Showcase and is gaining momentum after plenty of reps in the Open division.

Freeman also has a reputation for its terminal offense and equitable scoring. Bartunek joined that operation last fall and averaged 6.5 assists per set in her debut season. Like some of the other athletes in this feature, Bartunek often embraces a right-side attacking role when she rotates into the frontcourt. Her aggressive style also allows Bartunek to be a 5-1 setter who puts up a solid block along the net. Nebraska ONE thrives with players like this.
