Milford at Seton Recap

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Milford Eagles and Seton Saints met Saturday knowing they could square off sometime during the OHSAA Division I Tournament.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Seton (14-2) hoped to quickly put aside the tough 3-2 loss to Girls Greater Catholic League rival Ursuline two days earlier while Milford (10-5) hoped to keep trending up coming in on a five-game winning streak. The Saints used their depth and Senior Day adrenaline to come away with a 3-0 (25-15, 25-15, 25-15) win.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Seton saw every player on the bench go into the game and contribute. [player_tooltip player_id='152052' first='Sakura' last='Codling'] continued to go hard after balls and [player_tooltip player_id='227615' first='Callie' last='Combs'] provided her usual spark all over the court. Senior Maddie Burns and junior Lyla Hamilton made a nice number of digs with [player_tooltip player_id='152060' first='Sydney' last='Crowley'] even recording a breathtaking kick save. Senior setter [player_tooltip player_id='782000' first='Raegan' last='Miller'] and [player_tooltip player_id='368391' first='Kirsten' last='Kemper'] once again set up the Saints hitters well, but Miller also had a good game serving and digging. Codling and Jones added their fair share of aces.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Senior [player_tooltip player_id='152054' first='Daisy' last='Cluxton'] (pictured) and [player_tooltip player_id='492657' first='Maddie' last='Albright'] put down a number of balls. However, sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='480837' first='Charley' last='Moeddel'] came in and had an awesome with a .700 hitting percentage recording seven kills on 10 attempts and no errors. Moeddel and Breely Miller did a good bit to help the Saints control the net.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Milford may not have played as well as the last five games, but the Eagles had some bright spots. Junior Molly Obermeyer and freshman [player_tooltip player_id='721287' first='Grace' last='Miracle'] put down some tough balls against a solid Seton defense. She gives the Saints a great net presence. She is in rhythm with her blockers and great form when she goes up on blocks. Moeddel said footwork has been the focus leading to nice slide blocking. She forces hitting errors with her presence. Moeddel has given the Saints another offensive option.
