One of the hottest teams in the Houston area right now, Bridgeland were dominant, winning in three sets (25-16, 25-13, 25-13) to extend their winning streak to 11 matches. The Bears now have a 25-11 record for the season and continue at the top of the district standings with nine victories.
The junior setter had a major role in Bridgeland's dominant performance as she kept the team's offensive system very effective in a match in which losing focus could be an issue. Boatman kept all hitters involved and made some interesting combination plays when the team got to work with free balls. She also did several other things well, such as being aggressive with her setter dumps, being always alert to play defense and going into good serving runs. Boatman ended the match with 19 assists, four digs and two aces.

Originally a middle, Pfefferkorn has been playing as an outside hitter this season and was the team's main offensive weapon, registering 15 kills. Against Cypress Springs, she did a very good job of using her length to hit over the top of opposing blockers, but also displayed interesting shots, finding sharp angles and consistently beating the blockers. Pfefferkorn also showed good offensive versatility, hitting from the left, the right and even the middle, in some combination plays. She also impressed with her ball control and backcourt skills, registering five digs and appearing well in serve-receive when tested.

The sophomore outside hitter was Bridgeland's most consistent player, performing at a high level from start to finish. Rachal was very productive offensively, tallying 12 kills, and displayed great vision and variation with her shots. She was also alert at the net and handled very well a couple of overpasses that went her way. Rachal had a few minor struggles with her passing, but was fine in serve-receive for most of the match.

The junior libero had a very solid match, fulfilling her role in the team with tremendous efficiency. Couch was particularly important in serve-receive, leading the team's efforts in that area and ending the match with 12 passes. She also led the team defensively, notching a team-high nine digs, and contributed a pair of aces. Couch was also constantly asked to set in transition and responded well, producing seven assists.

Bridgeland used four different players on the right and Clark was easily the most productive and exciting of them. A very physical player, she added a lot of firepower to the team's offense, swinging with a lot of power every time she was set. The junior was also very efficient, getting seven kills in 11 swings. Her blocking presence also helped the team defensively as besides getting a stop, she also created problems to opposing hitters.

The senior libero was easily Cypress Springs most efficient player on the court, doing a very good job on the backcourt for the Panthers. Hampton covered a lot of ground in serve-receive and was very productive, displaying impressive quickness and excellent ball control to deliver accurate passes. She also made some impressive digs in hard-driven swings on the backcourt and did a good job when she had to set in transition.

The senior outside hitter was her team's main offensive weapon and didn't shy away against a strong Bridglenad team. Perry made up for her lack of size with an impressive vertical and great vision to score with well-placed shots and nice moves to beat opposing blockers. She also had good moments on the backcourt, coming up with nice digs and passing well for most of the match.
