About Hollie

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I communicate well and bring up my teammates on and off the court.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Through playing volleyball I have grown, and continue to grow a strong mentality, staying resilient and focused. I work well with my teammates and strive to improve and perform to my best abilities.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Involved in Christian Club at school, volunteering at my church and working as a lifeguard for the City of La Verne.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve been able to develop strong communication skills with my coaches and other players. I have learned to work hard in order to achieve my goals.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

A significant challenge I’ve faced was transitioning from a small elementary and junior high to a large high school. I was very involved in my previous school with sports, student council and service clubs. Moving to a large school was challenging because I knew very few people. I made sure to get involved with sports and join a club. I also pushed myself academically and made great friends.

What type of college are you looking for?

Christian/ Catholic colleges ideally with a good community and a lot of social opportunities.
