How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Committed, focused and aggressive.

Positive attitude and always trying to improve.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Involved with local neighborhood community clean-up club (Ladera Heights Community Association). I am also part of the Immaculate Heart Middle and High school community service efforts several times throughout the school year.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

As volleyball team captain this season, I have had the opportunity to develop my leadership, communication and team building skills. These skills have come in the form of assisting the coach with practices while giving and receiving feedback from players and coaches.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

As a new student and 6th grader at Immaculate Heart Middle School, I had a new friend that decided to join a different friend group and stopped hanging out with me. I was hurt and didn't know why this happened. My parents supported me and explained that everything would be alright. I focused on school and volleyball during this time and eventually made new friends.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college/university that will provide the best fit and opportunity for me to excel as a student athlete.

Sofia-Rose “SR” Husband Sofia-Rose “SR” Husband Sofia-Rose “SR” Husband 5'11" | RS/OH Marymount | 2029 CA , thrives on high-level competition. Her blocking is a standout skill, and she brings intensity and confidence to big matchups. With a passion for shutting down attackers and a smile that surfaces mid-rally, she’s the kind of player who rises to the occasion. SR is currently focused on refining her transitions and becoming even faster off the net to connect with quicker sets and stay in rhythm.

“I love the competition in a game, and I love being competitive and working together with my team to get the win,” she shared. “Blocking is my best skill because my passion is to shut people down, and I really enjoy doing that.”

One of her favorite memories came during a matchup against Legacy, a team fresh off a win against nationally ranked A5. Despite nerves, SR brought the energy. Within the first two points, she blocked Legacy’s top outside twice. Her grin mid-rally said it all. That moment confirmed what she already knew. She belongs in high-level play.

Off the court, SR finds balance in quiet moments with classic literature, especially her current favorite, Pride and Prejudice. She’s aiming to make the JV team at Marymount, raise her GPA, and embrace new opportunities throughout her freshman year. With her mix of fire and focus, SR is ready to make her mark.
