Curless gives a great effort any time she takes the court. Curless kept a number of balls alive in 16 Goller's three-set loss against the OT Volleyball Academy 16 T JP squad. Curless forced a third game with some sizzling aces.

Hurley has done a better job setting the ball closer to the net in this tournament making it easier for the powerful 16 Red hitters to put balls down. Hurley played a big role in helping 16 Red go 3-0 on Sunday. Hurley mixes in a variety of short and long sets to the middle and the pins. She moves her feet to the target to get in good position on the sets. Hurley even throws in setter dumps and back taps to throw off defenses. She dives after balls on defense and puts up sound double blocks. Hurley took away lines well in the last game Sunday.

Smith does a great job using her size to put a lot of power into hits. The 15 Tony team lost the lone game Sunday, but Smith gave the team a chance with her net defense and sinking line drive serves. She'll continue to be a force at the net as the season progresses.

Morgan (pictured) helped the 17 Chicas team go 2-1 on the team winning both games in the Open Division Bracket championship. Morgan has outstanding reflexes on the court. She quickly puts her arms in position for balls to carom off her arms for amazing two to three-point passes. She made some one-armed saves in the three games. Morgan trails plays well and is a good communicator on the court,

Moeddel has a quick release and just mastered the quick, which spells trouble for opponents because it is one of the toughest hits to defend, especially if they are undersized. Moeddel also ran the slides well helping the 16 Blue team go 3-0 on Sunday and make it to the quarterfinals of the Elite Division Bracket championship game.

Waleskowski is showing signs of turning into a dominant player in high school. Waleskowski is tough to stop at the pins. She takes great approaches to the net and puts a lot of power into balls. She has a hard slam to the lines and can angle balls off blockers and out of bounds for points. Waleskowski can take some energy off balls to place then in between defenders. She draws blockers away from teammates and had some key blocks helping the 15-1 Tsunami go 2-1 on Sunday.
