About Callie

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My Gameplay style would be best described as upbeat and active. In a game I focus on leading my team to victory as I am a very competitive and vocal backrow player. Most of my coaches would describe me as a player with a lot of grit, energy, and leadership.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I would describe my personality as loud. Mentality wise I believe that you should never give up because you don’t see progress. Improvement comes in small steps and takes time so once you come to realize it’s okay to make mistakes, that’s when you are gonna grow as a volleyball player.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I volunteer around town a lot, the main place I volunteer is Hospice of Lake Cumberland. Sports wise I help coach the middle school team and I help coach at the LUV Littles events in Lexington

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Volleyball has definitely helped me understand the aspects of what makes a true leader. Whether that be attitude, energy, or sometimes even faith. Team building is one of my favorite things to do, finally seeing your team mesh together as you bond is just so magical.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Personally I have had both mental and physical health problems from an abusive coach and asthma. I hope to continue to work through them through my volleyball career. I have already come a long way and have genuinely found my love for volleyball again.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that has a Good education while being a good environment to grow in at the same time. I am looking for somewhere that could feel like home.

Davis made a huge impact for the Cougars at the libero spot this past fall. She makes the simple passes and only lunges when needed. She anticipates balls well on the court. Davis also gave opponents fits with her serves. Davis can make nice sets when needed. Davis had 451 digs, 79 assists and 62 aces for the Cougars this past fall.

Davis has been a big reason why the Cougars have surprised many people this season. Davis makes good passes under control, only diving when necessary. Setovers do not fool Davis easily. She can make one-armed saves. Davis also sends across a sound line drive serve.
