Kassidee’s Voice
“Playing behind the best middle in the country has been such an unreal experience. I’ve learned so much from Kendall and all of our seniors, and being able to play alongside them every day in practice has really opened my eyes to how much there is to learn and improve on. They push me to want to get better every single day, and I hope that when I become a junior next year I can have the same confidence and talent they have and learn to command the court the way they do. I am so incredibly grateful to be given the opportunity to play with this team for the past 2 years. It has been everything I dreamt of and more.”

She treats practice against Kendall Omoruyi Kendall Omoruyi 6'4" | MB/OH Sierra Canyon | 2027 State CA as a classroom, and she is specific about what she wants to take from the seniors: confidence, talent, and the way they command the court. Coaches watching 2029 middles should see how she carries that into next season.

Kassidee Smith is developing into a middle who prioritizes timing, availability, and consistency. She focuses on being ready for every play, especially in transition, which is a key part of staying involved offensively.

That readiness allows her to keep the offense moving, especially through quick sets and transition opportunities.

Her adjustments show a strong understanding of her role, focusing on timing with her setter, reading hitters, and making small corrections that improve overall efficiency.

Kassidee is trending toward reliability, with steady growth in both blocking and attacking as she continues to refine her timing and movement. Every time I have seen her play, I have been impressed with her improvement.
