, a Class of 2028 middle blocker from Sierra Canyon High School and CITY Volleyball Club, currently ranked No. 48 overall in the Prep Dig California State Rankings, walked into the Salt Lake City Showdown and did exactly what she has done at every Prep Dig showcase she has attended…she made it impossible to look anywhere else. Earning Top Performer honors at multiple events is not a coincidence and it is not luck; it is a pattern, and patterns tell you everything you need to know about a player’s character and consistency. At 5’11” she has the physical tools to impact the front row at the next level, but what stands out even more than the frame is the motor she plays with. Miss Gonzalez is relentless at the net, active in transition, and competitive from the first whistle to the last. College coaches talk about wanting players who are great in the locker room and great on the court, and she brings both in abundance, the kind of personality that teammates gravitate toward and coaching staffs build their culture around. Her blocking instincts are advanced for a Class of 2028 player and she attacks with an efficiency and decisiveness that tells you the volleyball IQ is running well ahead of her age. Raneighla is the real deal and the programs that recognize that early are going to look very smart when this class matures. Please help us congratulate her on earning Top Performer honors at this showcase event.

💡 Game You’re Proud Of
Definitely the speed of my swing, the speed of my transition, and the speed of my swing block. Perfecting my line shot while on the pin has become one of my new favorite things. Covering and picking up a block touch is new, and I love it.
📲 Why This Post Mattered
Coaches get to see me in the showcasing role, which is so important for them to see me in that position in high-pressure situations.
🧠 What Coaches Should Know
I love hard coaching! Please critique me, tell me what to fix so I can make it applicable. I’m completely open to skills, techniques, training, IQ…I want it all. I’m a forever student not only on the court but also off the court. Without transformation and learning, then what are we doing here?

💡 “IQ and being a good teammate in the face of adversity — this high school season I’ve had the privilege of learning parts of the game I’d never focused on before. Being surrounded by some of the top recruits in the country has helped me make smart IQ adjustments that completely grew my confidence and gave me affirmation that I can play at the highest level. I’ve also had the amazing opportunity to cheer on my team and learned how to keep energy high, stay uplifting, and lead with joy. I’m grateful people now get to see my goofy, silly, celebratory personality — it’s part of who I am.”

Raneighla’s Gratitude
💛 “God, grit, and my momma! In my weakest and darkest hours, I had Jesus — that connection to faith has kept me strong. My mom has never wavered in her love, support, and prayers. She changed her lifestyle completely to help me fulfill my dreams while teaching me how to work hard and have grit. On days I didn’t want to show up, she reminded me who I am. God gave me the grit to play volleyball and blessed me with a mom who built a village around me. I’m so grateful for everything.”

, a 2028 middle and opposite, left the SCVC and Mizuno Long Beach College Camp with a sharper sense of discipline at the net. One of her biggest takeaways was the importance of holding steady hand positioning while blocking to avoid wasted movement and maximize reaction time. She embraced the challenge of facing elite-level coaches and players, including a standout moment where she volunteered to run a pop float route and scored by cutting the ball past the LMU coach attempting to block her.
Looking ahead, Raneighla is focused on leveling up her offensive game. Her goal is to run advanced, high-level Team USA–style routes with her setters, pushing herself to compete with precision, pace, and adaptability. With her fearless attitude and drive to improve, she continues to evolve as both a dynamic attacker and a reliable presence at the net. ~ Michelle Bamford @Coachable247

impressed Southern Illinois’ Ella Swansiger with her strength through contact and reliable fundamentals. She brought consistent intensity to every rep and showed strong ball control paired with a gritty, competitive mindset. When I showed her a quick adjustment to her core snap technique, Raneighla applied it immediately and delivered one of her hardest hits of the day, a clear sign of coachability and quick implementation. ~ Michelle Bamford @Coachable247

, a 2028 middle and opposite heading to Sierra Canyon and playing club for City 15 Gold, felt proud to be recognized for her hard work and excited to compete alongside other elite athletes at the Championship Performance Advantage All Star Event. She enjoyed meeting new players and coaches, making connections, and embracing the competitive atmosphere. Training with Coach Chris Austin helped her improve her court awareness, recognize open spots, and understand hitter tendencies, all while strengthening her overall volleyball IQ.
Raneighla has learned to create opportunities rather than wait for them. She hopes college coaches notice her ability to stay engaged, remain a consistent offensive option, and bring high energy to every match. Off the court, she’s passionate about art, animals, and family, and she brings the same joy and dedication to her relationships as she does to the game. ~ Michelle Bamford @Coachable247
