Continuing with our project of evaluating student-athletes from around the state this club season, we make a stop back in the 16U division. A lot of players are showing out and deserving of write-ups in their profile.

I first scouted Seaman in person when she was a Muscatine freshman. The versatile setter has steadily improved her all-around game since then. As a sophomore in 2024, she paced the Muskies in kills (394) and ranked second in assists (265) with 141 digs and 23.0 blocks. Seaman does it all for Muscatine. For United, she lines up at her best spot, setter, and delivers dimes to a talented group of hitters. Seaman keeps the defenses honest by mixing up her deliveries and spreading the ball around. She can finish points with her swing or by dumping into the donut when she sees it. Seaman defends at the net and in the back row.

I've watched Ladwig and her PowerPlex outfit a lot this season. She built on a super sophomore campaign in helping Northwest return to the 5A championship match despite being hit hard by graduation losses. Ladwig shined on the right side for a loaded Wolves' roster. She expanded her game this club season, shining from the outside with a mighty swing. Ladwig still has room to go before hitting her considerably high ceiling. She can get closer by continuing to develop consistency and sharpening her skills. Ladwig has made excellent progress on the block, utilizing her long arms and explosive athleticism.

Spending a lot of time honing her skills, Caffery has taken a big step forward this club campaign. Her development has shown up with her displaying more consistency and an improved feel for the game. Caffery understands where her teammates like the ball, and she makes solid decisions on where to go with it. She shows good court vision and takes advantage of holes in the defense. Caffery has improved her swing and defense at the net. She's solid in serve-receive if teams attempt to test her.

A product of training in two of the state's top programs, Harbour is a steady hand in the back row. She reads the attack well and uses that to get into the best position to make plays. Harbour's quick feet and sharp reflexes aid her performance in defending the back. She communicates well and moves smoothly around her teammates. Harbour still has room to grow and develop as a player, which should be exciting for college coaches.

Watching Wilson's game grow during the last few years has been rewarding. She works hard on improving and showing this club season that it's paying off. Wilson long has had a dangerous swing from the pin. She's continued developing that part of her game. A winning player, Wilson has progressed most with her play in the back row. She's become a six-rotation contributor for the Lightning and United, two of the state's better programs.

Davis has been one of the most steady performers I've scouted this club season. She showed glimpses of that as a Waukee sophomore in 2024, but has lifted her game up another notch. Davis is super reliable for her consistency and by limiting mistakes. She boasts a high volleyball IQ, which is supported by strong court vision and a natural feel for the sport. Davis is a taller setter, which helps her swing and defend at the net. She exploits holes in the defense and holds up well in the back row. Davis will have a lot of weapons around her this next prep season, and she's a key in making Waukee a title contender.
