She paced the Tigers with 264 kills as a sophomore in the state's second largest classification. Nolton added 54 digs and 19.0 blocks. She's taken another step forward this club season for a formidable United squad. Nolton does her best work at the pin as an explosive athlete with impressive leaping ability and a powerful swing. Her process is smooth and repeatable, which helps her with consistency. Not boasting the traditional height of an outside, Gardner compensates for it with an impressive vertical leap and hangtime. She generates prodigious power for her size, which should increase with added strength. Gardner's strong club campaign has followed a productive sophomore season at Ballard that saw her come up with 191 digs and 25 kills. She's a big reason why her teams are enjoying success. She's a versatile performer who does her best work in the middle. Rogers is agile and athletic with long arms. She produces pace with her swing and has a good feel for the block. Rogers athleticism allows her to succeed at the pins, too. I could see her developing into a standout at multiple positions. Athleticism is the carrying trait for Erickson, who also is a solid softball player. Lacking the prototypical height of the middle hitter position, Erickson accomplishes a lot with her leaping ability and power in her swing. She relies on timing and getting a good read on the attack in being successful on the block. It's been fun watching her steadily improve and become more productive in doing so. Lacking the traditional height of a middle hitter, Hingst does work with explosion off of the court and impressive leaping ability. It led to her 116 kills (.227) and 83.0 blocks as a sophomore on a Prairie Hawk outfit that reached a regional final. Hingst generates power in her swing and times her block well. It foreshadowed what should be a memorable prep run the next few seasons. Hogan has set herself up for that success by developing in two of the state's top volleyball programs. She has the desired traits for a defensive specialist in her toolbox. Hogan moves well laterally and shows sharp reflexes.
