Mt. Hood League Preview and Players to Watch

This recap refresher of the top four teams and a few key players will prepare you for another year of competitive volleyball. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>#1- Nelson High School</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Nelson sits at the #4 spot in the state after winning against South Salem in the state playoffs. They ended the season with their league wins at 14-0 and their overall wins at 25-5. Nelson has been in the top five in the state for the past three years. Her scrappy plays and hard-to-pass serves undoubtedly landed her on the Second Team All-League selections list. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>#2- Central Catholic High School </strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Central Catholic placed second in their league this past season with their league wins at 11-3 and their overall wins at 19-7. OSAA ranked them at #10, just one spot lower than their previous season. Barlow is ranked #11 in the state, the same spot that they held in the 2023 season. They ended their 2024 season with an 8-6 league win and a 16-10 overall win. They sat at spot #25 in the 2023 season, climbing to that #1 spot that every team dreams of.
