Despite playing on the road, Tompkins produced a dominant performance and swept (25-12, 25-23, 25-13) Jordan to get their first district victory of the season. The Lady Falcons now have a 9-2 win record, while the Warriors dropped to 6-4.

The sophomore outside hitter had a nearly impeccable performance and played a major role in Tompkins' victory with her strong all-around game. St. Rose was unstoppable offensively and scored from basically everywhere on the court, displaying tremendous firepower and impressive versatility to swing from different spots. She made very few errors and stepped up in the only moment in which her team was truly under pressure, putting the ball down to score the game-winning point in set two. The outside hitter also had a strong blocking presence, tallied some aces, and was very solid with passing and defense, producing ten kills, three blocks and two aces in a very complete performance.

Tompkins' offense kept firing on all cylinders throughout the entire match, and that was a reflection of the great work done by the team's setters. Shepard split her time on the court with junior Drew Merrell, and the two were excellent at running the team's offense, as they not only distributed the ball very well but also consistently moved their hitters around, making it very difficult for Jordan's blockers to get in their way. The sophomore did very well on the few occasions when she had to work with passes off the net, quickly getting to the ball and putting her hitters in great positions to score. Shepard also had some good serving runs and contributed on defense, ending the match with a team-high 14 assists, six digs and one ace.

Another reason for Tompkins' excellent offensive performance was the fact that the team was in system more often than not, and that was due to Monroe's excellent work on the backcourt. The senior libero led the team's serve-receive efforts and displayed great chemistry with the team's outside hitters and defensive specialists, keeping things organized and efficient. She also came up with some great digs, showing excellent positioning and ball control to deal with Jordan's swings. Monroe always looked very calm and secure on the court, and did well too when she had to set in transition on a few occasions. She ended the match with a double-double of 19 passes and 11 digs, leading the team in both categories.

The sophomore had a strong shift in the middle for Tompkins, producing well on both sides of the ball and helping her team control the game at the net. Nwokeji outpowered Jordan's middles and was extremely efficient with her game. She played on the right in one rotation, displaying some versatility and the ability to adjust to different roles. Nwokeji produced five kills and five blocks in a very promising performance.

In a night in which Jordan's offense struggled against a physical and talented Tompkins team, the junior outside hitter was probably their most consistent scoring option. Except for a moment in the third set, Hodges was very steady at the pin and her team's best player on the court. She displayed some nice firepower and the ability to hit the ball hard when in system and was creative and efficient when that wasn't the case, using tips and tooling the block to score points. Hodges had some ups and downs with her passing, but was more reliable with it than not during the match.

The senior libero worked hard on the backcourt to keep her team in system. Nicholas handled her zone very well and, on some occasions, stepped up to cover her teammates with her strong passing skills. She also appeared well on defense and made some plays that helped her team push at the end of the second set. Nicholas was able to keep her game steady throughout the match and had a solid match on the backcourt for the Warriors.
