Three Lutheran schools and Barron. Manitowoc Lutheran brought quite the crowd with a sea of red, filling their corner of the Resch. This would be a busy day for the Lancers with their football team hosting a D6 final eight football game against Cedar Grove-Belgium. Meanwhile, Luther Prep brought the kilts and a lively student section.

The Phoenix rose! Understatement. Watertown Luther Prep came in as the top team ranked in the D3 and flexed this morning from the start. Lorelei Candler Lorelei Candler 5'10" | S/OH Luther Prep | 2028 State WI shined bright, one of the top sophomores in the state is a setter right side combo player who found ways to score points and dish to her teammates. She collected 12 kills and 21 assists. One of her top targets at the net was Emma Neyhart who tallied 9 kills, hitting .444.

Luther was led by Audrey Clark Audrey Clark 5'10" | MB WI and Cara Unke who combined 15 kills while Addie Schaper Addie Schaper 5'7" | S/DS/L Onalaska Luther | 2027 WI tallied 19 assists.

Manitowoc Lutheran 3 Barron 0

25-22, 25-20, 27-25

This match had all the dramatics. Manitowoc Lutheran is coming in as the defending D4 state champions and Barron are the defending D3 state champions. Plenty of fireworks expected.

Manitowoc Lutheran used their three attackers to pave the way. Ava Stuebs Ava Stuebs 5'8" | OH Manitowoc Lutheran | 2027 State WI is the six rotation outside hitter who has already eclipsed 1,000 career kills as a junior. She is a flyer on the pin, swinging big. She finished with 12 kills and 7 digs. Marissa Mehlhorn Marissa Mehlhorn OH WI came in clutch with 14 kills while Sallieann Burrows Sallieann Burrows 5'9" | S/RS Manitowoc Lutheran | 2028 State WI was the “X-Factor” impacting all facets of the game. She would finish with a triple double, 10 kills, 17 assists, and 10 digs.

Barron had firepower of their own with Alexis Halverson Alexis Halverson 5'9" | OH/RS Barron | 2027 State WI , the Minnesota State Mankato commit brought the power with her left handed swing collecting 17 kills hitting .371. Junior libero Abby Miller Abby Miller 5'6" | DS/L Barron | 2027 State WI collected 22 digs.
