Initial 2028 Rankings: Spots 11-15 Insights

Not only is she tall, but has great athleticism and the Ashland staff has put her in great positions to succeed. The setters put balls at the peak of her swing so she can slam down balls over and around blockers. Marcum rips balls into seams making defensive specialists have to move quick to dig them up. Marcum is especially tough on ones, depositing balls to different zones on the court. Marcum slams them to left line in the four zone on one play then tips it to the one zone on the next play. Marcum also has great timing on her blocking. She dominates in many different ways mainly with her offense in the front row and her defense in the back row. Cronen pounds balls down the lines and on crosses from the middle and both pins. She also possesses great instincts on defense, reacting quickly to balls to keep plays alive. Turner is an athletically gifted setter. She does a variety of sets including the back set. She reads defenses well and finds favorable matchups. Turner wins jousts and surprises opponents with setovers and other hits over the net on second contacts. Turner can quickly lunge forward to dig up balls. She's had a good number of pancake digs throughout her career. That's helped her be a force for the Bluebirds at the opposite hitter spot. The lefty smacks crosses to the four zones. She can also send softer hits to the five zone. She moves her feet well then squares her arms up with balls to make crisp two to three-point passes. DeSensi dives when needed, but stays under control helping Sacred Heart stay in system.
