Before the holiday break we went live with our updated 2029 player rankings. If you haven't had a chance to check out the rankings you can see them here: https://prepdig.com/arizona/rankings/2029-rankings/

Out of the 85 players on our ranking list we saw new faces come into the rankings and some familiar faces make some great strides. We expect this list to continue to be volatile over the course of the club season with so much talent coming from this class.

We have divided our article into two parts, the first will be some ranking jumpers (athletes who were in our first rankings and made jumps up), and the other part will be new faces (girls who we didn't have ranked that made it in). We won't be able to write about all of our jumpers and new faces, but here are a few that stood out!

Rylee made the leap from 20th to 12th overall in the 2029 rankings with the most recent release. Rylee showed scouts a lot of top level play from two positions which is one big reason she made the jump almost into the top 10. She has the ability to be a 6 rotational pin hitter or a 6 rotational setter. It all depends on the coach and their system in how they want to use her.

As someone is can do it all on the floor one things that stands out to me is not her ability to run a fast/high level offense, it's her court IQ to know which hitters are in the best position or have the weakest match up to exploit. She seems to know the best location on the floor to put the ball each and every play. If you watch her play you can see her mind moving and scanning the floor throughout the play seeking the openings a good top level player does. It helps that she can place the ball where she wants but as an offensive player she can also do the same. She scans the floor and is able to exploit all weakness that are left out there. Being able to put your team in the best position to win regardless of where she plays is what really sets her apart. The physical tools are there for Rylee but the court IQ is what sets her apart in my eyes.

Overall Rylee is going to turn some heads this season during club, and I would encourage all to get out and watch Aspire 15's play this season. Whether you get to see her run a fast offense or be the offense you will not be disappointed.

Kylie made one of the biggest jumps when she moved 21 spots from 39 to 18. The word potential is going to be used a lot with Kylie as more and more people see her play. She just screams potential and the ability to grow into a top level player with her all around ability and athletic ability.

When you see her on the floor the first thing you notice is just how tall and athletic she is, she is easily 5'10 and flows and moves effortlessly on the floor. Having a setter being able to move with ease gives coaches a lot of options when it comes to their offense. She can take an average pass and make it into a great offense play with how well she places the set. The defense has a tough time determining where to block as she can set across the grain to a different pin hitter when the pass isn't there. Keeping a defense guessing is a great asset for any coach to have.

Another great aspect to her game is her ability to play all 6 rotations. A big skill to being a top 5 setter in your class is the ability to play all 6 rotations whether as a setter or as a RS hitter. Kylie is able to do both depending on the situation. She has a good arm swing, and the capability to fill that role if needed. She is also a great offensive threat in the front row as a setter, routinely being able to make hitters freeze as she can dump on them at will.

We can't wait to see Kylie during the club season be a top level player she is capable of, and any new setters out there would enjoy watching her play ball.

Chloe made a big jump from 55 to 38 in our latest rankings and a lot of that has to do with her growth as a all around setter. Chloe has a lot of great tempo with her sets when she is running the offense and has some of the softest hands out there with how nice the ball is placed when her team is in system. She can run a fast offense and can set all her hitters with great positional sets each play.

One thing that sets her apart and a reason she made a big jump is how well she does with some of the other things we need to see from a setter. First, she can still run a fast offense even when she doesn't get the best pass in serve receive or defense. Being able to run almost all your hitters even when the pass isn't perfect says a lot about the level of setter she is. She gets her feet to the ball with quick lateral movement and can use her great hands to get the ball where it is needed whether it's a perfect pass or an out of system pass. She also can play some good defense and has some great reads as a defender to see plays before they happen.

We have seen a very steep climb by Chloe over these last 6 months as she continues to develop into a top level player. We don't expect anything less over the coming season and look forward to watching her play this club season.

Skye made a big leap from 58th to 42nd in our latest updates and has to potential to do another big jump by the end of club season. When you see Skye play all I can tell you is she hits the ball hard.

Now when we think of pin hitters and top level pin hitters we all know they hit the ball hard but man the sound it makes when Skye hits is just different. She has a fast and aggressive arm swing that leads to a lot of hard driven down balls that make it tough on defenders. She puts a lot of pace on the ball and most defenders can't handle the speed of the attack. more importantly she also tools blocks very well and doesn't get shut down too often even when the block knows the ball is going to her. She is a full offensive force who can run multiple attacks from anywhere on the floor. She is someone you can go to in tight situations to get you those tough points.

She is also improving in her all around game as well and has made great strides from the start of school season in her serve receive and defensive game. She passes and plays defense at a very high level as well, and you can tell she is focused on making that a strength for herself. She is going to be a top level 6 rotational pin player moving forward, and someone who could make a similar rankings jump when we update next time as well.

Colbie is a versatile player who can do a lot of things for her school and club team. She is someone who could play either pin and could even set if needed. What elevates her game and made her standout was her offensive game as a pin hitter.

She is very fast and agile for someone pushing 6 foot and can hit from both the left and right side with power. She is fluid with her movement and gets very deep in her transitions that allow her that extra power behind her swing. Her swing is very dynamic and she is able to be a threat hitting line, through the block, or using some off speed shots when necessary. I really enjoyed watching her in the state finals this year play as she always seemed to find the open floor throughout the match.

She is only going to get faster and stronger over the course of the year, you can tell she also has a very high IQ with how well she finds open spots on the floor and her ability to get in front of opposing hitters with her blocking. She has a lot of potential in her game, and she is one of the many new faces in our rankings but she is our highest new face by being ranked #23.

Violett makes the jump into the rankings and is currently ranked in the top 10 for middles in her class. Watching her play you can see a lot of athletic ability oozing out of Violett with how well she moves for someone her size. She moves well laterally for a young middle (and a tall middle) and shows coordination transitioning from block to attack.

Violett is already a god blocker, and demonstrates solid timing for an underclassman while showing a natural feel for reading setters. Her hands are active and are already penetrating over the net. On offense she shows good approach mechanics and a violent arm swing, with the ability to score off-speed as well rather than just power. She also is smart with her offense and can tip a ball and push a ball deep to a corner when it is open. She doesn't settle for one thing and will take whatever the defense gives her.

Moving forward, she is someone who is a high-upside middle blocker with the physical profile and skill base to develop into a strong varsity and potential college-level contributor. She will continued getting better with her technical refinement, strength development, and game experience as the year progresses and should make a jump again when the rankings come out.

Kendall is going to be a special libero as she gets older and one to watch from the class of 2029. Watching her play it is obvious to see what makes her a great libero.

One of my favorite things is the fact that she covers and transitions so well. She could be passing a ball from zone 5 and make it to behind the hitter on the right side all in the same sequence. She has lightning quick footwork and amazing lateral movement that shows up all over her film. Most impressively for me for a libero is how much energy and excitement she brings to her team. She seems like the emotional leader for her club team as she will just be loud and energetic regardless of the score.

She does well with her ability to read hitters on defense and anticipates very well to get her feet into a good defensive position to pass ball for her team to be in system. She didn't get beat at all any time we were watching her play and teams will mostly avoid moving forward is my guess. She also brings a good jump float serve that is only to get better and faster as she gets older but at the moment is really effective with her placement to put it on the worst passer each time.

We are excited about having Kendall in our rankings and think she is going to turn into a high level libero one day for the state of AZ.

Kennedy is new to our rankings by coming in at 84, but if you get a chance to play against club one 15 platinum you will see why. She is someone who is already tall at 6 feet (a true 6 footer) and is going to get stronger as she gets older.

She is a physical presence at the net and is able to get a ton of locks and block touches with her reach. She also has quick feet and is able to get to both pins with ease. Her offensive game is starting to develop to a high level and she is able to from all spots on the floor including behind the setter on a slide or a quick in front.

Overall, Kennedy offensively is reliable and she is displaying clean footwork, a fast arm, and the ability to score efficiently. More importantly she plays with high energy, communicates well, and demonstrates strong presence at the net with her blocking. Her physical tools, work ethic, and on-court awareness project her as a valuable middle for her club and school team in the coming years. We are excited to see her play during club!
