Murdoch’s ubiquitous frontcourt presence has been a frequent discussion topic during our late-season coverage. We enjoyed watching this Conestoga standout patrol the right side of Banzai VBC 16 Select at the Great Plains Region Bid Tournament. That outing offered a new perspective on Murdoch’s game after she had excelled in the middle during past prep seasons. Her opposite prowess took precedence at our showcase, but Murdoch was more than willing to tee off on the left side, too. This small-town star will adapt and adjust.

The Great Plains Region Bid Tournament gave us a valuable glimpse at the up-and-coming 2028s in the Banzai VBC gym. Murdoch was already on our radar after logging reps with Conestoga High School last fall. She has followed that up with an impactful tenure with Banzai VBC 16 Select, helping the team at various spots in the frontcourt. We saw Murdoch take over on the right side against GPR competition, but she’s more than just a standard opposite. This dynamic athlete can also terminate in front of the setter with up-tempo sets in the middle. Murdoch’s ever-changing role will be fascinating to follow as 16 Select continues to gel.
