A lot of these athletes are playing in front of plenty of college coaches at national events where they are looking for their next step academically and athletically. The Wisconsin Class of 2027 has some athletes who are off the board and have given their verbals. Who has taken the next step in their journey into college volleyball. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">The 2027 setter who preps at Westosha Central and plays her club ball for Sky High out of Crystal Lake, Illinois has given her verbal to play at Arkansas-Little Rock. Her length and athleticism will translate well to the next level. She has been a leader for Central and has played on the open level courts at Sky High. Arkansas-Little Rock is a new member of the Ohio Valley Conference where they finished 16-15 during the 2025 season. She'll look to close out a successful career at Westosha Central this fall where she heads into her season with over 2,000 assists. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='484915' first='Abigail' last='Weidmayer'] has made her impact all across the high school level and has had a huge season playing for 1W 17-1 Elite. She will take her talents to Juniata College in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania. Juniata is a D3 national power, they most recently won the 2024 national championship with a 3-2 win over UW-Whitewater in the title match. Weidmayer is accustomed to playing at a high level on the pin. She has been a standout for Manitowoc Lincoln earning All State honors as well as being named FRCC Player of the Year in 2025. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Northern Illinois is starting to build a little pipeline to [program_tooltip program_id='428672' first='Milwaukee' last='Sting'] where they have Sting alums in Rylea Alvin and Eva Finnessy. Tenhagen will join the Huskies who will be joining the Horizon League this upcoming fall that will feature Wisconsin opponents in Green Bay and Milwaukee. Tenhagen has been a point scoring pin for Burlington High School and MKE Sting 17 Gold. There is a mature fundamental sense to her game. She can serve receive, pass, and find ways to score points in multiple ways. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='509331' first='Meghan' last='Bruss'] has given her verbal commit to play at Truman State located in Kirksville, Missouri, part of the GLVC which is Division 2. Her former high school teammate at Bay Port, Kendall Shimon recently completed her freshman season as a Bulldog. Bruss has been one of the top setters in Northeast Wisconsin where she has earned Player of the Year honors in the FRCC and recently was one of the setters for [program_tooltip program_id='428591' first='FC' last='Elite'] 18 Elite. She has a mature savvy to her game where she knows how to make the high IQ play and get her attackers in position to terminate. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='483886' first='Ally' last='Schwab'] just puts a hurt on the ball when she swings on the outside. She might have one of the heaviest swings in the state with the way she can strike. She is a high level academic athlete with her commitment to University of Chicago that has just over a 4% acceptance rate and an average ACT score of 34. Schwab has been on the MKE Sting 17 Gold team who has been the top team in the Badger Region in the 17s group all season. Her ability to score at the open level will translate well to UChicago who competes in the UAA, a high academic conference with teams across the country. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Another athlete from [program_tooltip program_id='428672' first='Milwaukee' last='Sting'] with a big swing is [player_tooltip player_id='762615' first='Mack' last='Dawes']. There is something exciting about her game where you know shes going to make something happen when the set comes her way. She has given her verbal to Central Oklahoma which has been a rising D2 power, making it to the elite eight in 2024 and the national tournament in 2025. They have [program_tooltip program_id='428672' first='Milwaukee' last='Sting'] alum in Myla Unterweger who recently capped off a successful freshman campaign at UCO. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">We're heading out East where [player_tooltip player_id='497647' first='Charlotte' last='Hayes'] of [program_tooltip program_id='428672' first='Milwaukee' last='Sting'] has recently given her verbal commit to Marist, a D1 school in New York part of the MAAC. This might be one of the more exciting conference schedules with trips to Niagara Falls, New York City, and all across New England. Hayes is a physical pin attacker who will bring plenty of power to the Red Foxes. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">At the Northern Lights Qualifier this past January I saw North Dakota State on the court of Madtown 171 National. [player_tooltip player_id='565655' first='Makennah' last='Peterson'] was having quite a match with a big block and showing she could score in multiple ways. I even remember thinking she would make a good for NDSU. Fast forward to May and she is heading to Fargo. NDSU has been able to pull some big talent from Wisconsin that would include Sting alum Alexis Boling. Peterson will look to have a strong finish for Madtown and Baraboo High School. </p>
