We have a double dose of dynamic duos.

Nebraska's Class of 2028 has enjoyed a tremendously successful campaign on the national club circuit. Rising juniors from the Cornhusker State have been propelled into the spotlight ahead of next month's flurry of recruiting activity. Colleges have built talent pipelines in Nebraska, and some of those stars even stick together from one level to the next.

Even if paths eventually diverge, we're treated to so many memorable combos in club venues. Part 1 of this feature series introduced a few setter-hitter tandems making waves in the Great Plains Region, but we can go a step further.

[player_tooltip player_id='729394' first='Audrey' last='Galyen'] and [player_tooltip player_id='774646' first='Bella' last='Mueller'] - Premier Nebraska 16 Black

We're starting with another Premier Nebraska squad that dialed in its connections at the right time.

Part 1 featured Premier Nebraska 16 Red, which clinched a GJNC berth through April's Show Me Qualifier. But, of course, 16 Red wasn't the only Premier crew securing postseason plans in Kansas City.

16 Black's wild journey to a 16 USA bid demanded some steady, reliable leadership. Galyen and Mueller sharpened their operation to deliver that stability.

We've seen a little of everything from Galyen, dating back to her standout performances at Prep Dig showcase events. She plays exceptional right-back defense in addition to all the contributions she makes as a distributor. When Galyen takes the second contact, she ensures that high-flying middles like Mueller get their share of the team's swings. Mueller always hustles in transition to guarantee that Galyen has a full array of options at the net.

The Galyen-Mueller combo will always be a worthy option as 16 Black prepares for GJNC.

Galyen

[player_tooltip player_id='903878' first='Jocelyn' last='Kuehner'] and [player_tooltip player_id='774631' first='Lilly' last='Wong'] - Nebraska Elite 16 Flames

There's that red-hot 16 Flames unit again.

Nebraska Elite has tallied some impressive results on the 16s scene, and 16 Flames has done its part to write the narrative. A deep run at the Salt Lake City Showdown provided the latest example of 16 Flames' high-end potential.

Kuehner and Wong have engineered this huge late-season surge. Wong has been this team's most efficient option for a while, and she was a quick addition to our 2028 watch list when we saw her on the 15s scene last year. She has the kind of range that can mesh with any setter, but Kuehner has managed to harness Wong's full ceiling in the front row. The Norfolk native is churning out a strong, balanced Nebraska Elite attack that knows how to lean on the hot hand.

[player_tooltip player_id='758622' first='Taegan' last='Weber'] and [player_tooltip player_id='568816' first='Kyler' last='Cada'] - [program_tooltip program_id='428743' first='VCNebraska' last=''] 16 Elite

[program_tooltip program_id='428743' first='VCNebraska' last=''] 16 Elite has shown its willingness to mix and match lineups, making the squad's ironclad connections even more impressive.

Weber embraces the challenge of feeding all her hitters in three-hitter rotations. She can effectively manage all the crossing patterns and routes in the 16 Elite offense, leading to open-net opportunities and large seams in the block. This was especially apparent during [program_tooltip program_id='428743' first='VCNebraska' last='']'s strong outing in Triple Crown NIT's opening pools.

Meanwhile, Cada has carried the banner for 16 Elite's long list of small-town stars. The Bishop Neumann outside hitter is building off a tremendous sophomore campaign with the Cavs, highlighted by over 400 kills and a team-leading ace total. She can gel with any setter on her side of the net, but Cada has especially taken to Weber's twitchy, aggressive style.

Perhaps there's a rural bond there, even as 16 Elite travels to club volleyball's biggest venues.

[player_tooltip player_id='779001' first='Berkeley' last='Osborne'] and [player_tooltip player_id='763640' first='Kelsie' last='Holder'] - Club Legacy 16 Alpha

Osborne and Holder have exemplified the cooperative nature of volleyball.

The connection between this Club Legacy duo goes far beyond setter-hitter cohesion. Sure, Osborne knows exactly how to set up Holder for terminal success on the left side. Those crisp moments helped yield the team's bid-earning triumph at NLQ and another Gold bracket run at the Lone Star Classic.

But we've also seen this combo thrive in the ball control phase. Holder aids her setter with perfect passes that allow Osborne to get all of her 16 Alpha hitters involved. Even if Holder is not on the receiving end of Osborne's pinpoint deliveries, this tandem is still producing game-changing plays.

That's postseason-worthy volleyball.

https://twitter.com/KingsleyATK/status/2045897075821551739?s=20

Kenadie Lantz and [player_tooltip player_id='790623' first='Hunter' last='Rihanek'] - Nebraska Juniors 16 Red

Nebraska Juniors is building a deep cast of Class of 2028 gems.

16 Red's steady improvement throughout the 2026 campaign has brought a new wave of athletes to our attention. This includes Lantz, a smooth setter who is sure to be part of our next watch list update. Her physicality allows her to pilot a 5-1, but Lantz can also shoulder a right-side attacking role if needed.

Speaking of attacking, Rihanek has elevated 16 Red's in-system offense from the middle blocker spot. Opposing teams often commit two blockers to slowing her down, but Rihanek has the range to work around hands. Best of all, this Lincoln North Star standout can shift over to the right pin to boost 16 Red's presence behind the setter.

Do-everything "utility" players like Lantz and Rihanek will be a staple of Nebraska Juniors' future success.

We have a double dose of dynamic duos.
