Her above-and-beyond approach to the game showcases all of the things she can do for a future college—-defend from pin to pin, show length on the attack, put pace on a ball from multiple setting tempi and be an overall tough kid to go against at the open level this past spring. Her ability to receive serve on more than half the court at any one time in any situation and with any combination of players around her is proof enough that she's more than capable of not only earning this high-end honor, but continue the Power Four libero tradition that comes from Yorktown annually.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_player":["774359"],"_player_evaluations_0_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-6a26f699e4320"} --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">With size for days and an intimidating presence to her, Lauren should be the first middle (if not the first recruit) off of the recruiting board during the summer of ‘27. Long and strong arms, coupled with a faster-than-average transition ability, will have Miss Kirk seeing commitments quickly, if not already. I also like how her athleticism is smooth—-a lot of kids this big are either lumbering and slow or skinny and weak. As a setter, which looks to be her future, her location is spot on, her hands are high and strong, and she always finds the right hitters in the right situations. THE. TIME. None could be bigger, though, than the dropped ball of not knowing Miss Stokes sooner rather than this late in her volleyball career. Gia is a big and physical outside hitter that hits with a pace and heft that just SOUNDS different coming off of her hand. Not only is the speed with which she attacks that tough, but she also has the ability to go over blocks regularly, making some of them look irrelevant.
