Helton will record a lot of assists in the fall if she puts balls at the peaks of her hitters’ swings like she consistently did last fall. Coach Kinner has said she’d like to see Paintsville run the fast-paced offense similar to 2022 when Paintsville won the in-season All “A” State Championship and Helton is making strides to do that. Helton does a good job reading defenses and finding the right matchup for Paintsville to succeed. Helton has outstanding footwork stopping in her tracks to make sound passes. Helton had 616 assists and 205 digs for the Tigers in the fall.

Helton (pictured) made a number of sound sets and passes throughout the game. Helton does a great job putting balls in her hitters’ power zones. Helton has good footwork doing what she can to better balls and making sure hitters can take quality swings. Helton said in the 6-2 when one setter makes the first touch, the other one is there to set plays up thus helping each other out.

Helton has done a great job stepping into a big role for the Tigers. Helton has quickly learned the hitters and puts balls in their power zones. Defensively, Helton’s quick reflexes help her keep plays alive. Helton makes sound overhead and bump passes. Helton is also turning into a nice blocker for Paintsville. Helton has 374 assists and 116 on the season for the Tigers.
