Short (pictured) is learning to become a dominant libero for the Tigers. She makes quality two to three-point passes consistently letting Paintsville set up the lethal offense. Her platform is on par most of the team and she makes sure she does not lightly send over free balls. Short had 390 digs in the fall, helping the Tigers go 28-11, win the 57th District crown and drive back to the 15th Region title game.

Short has snatched the libero spot and is learning to patrol the back row with authority. Short consistently makes sound passes under control. She squares her body up to balls using a good platform. Short also sends free balls across with a purpose. Short said her experience for four years at the libero spot helped her transition to the varsity level go smooth.
