About Alee

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am very loud and and energetic on the court communicating with my team constantly, putting 110% effort in all the time and trying my best to push myself to the best I can be for myself and my teammates.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I would say I am hard on myself and hold expectations higher for myself than others would for me, but at the same time not letting myself slip from how I play and react when I get into slumps and always finding a way to reset.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am in HOSA (Future Health Professions), a club at my school for those who are interested in the medical field as a career, participating in volunteer work, charity events, fundraisers and more. I have been in this club for 2 years and have both years been invited to go to the State Leadership Conference held for competitive events such as testing, leadership skills, terminology and many more.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed a better understanding of public speaking and at the same time the humility of it when speaking on topics that I advocate for and care about. Weaving into how I carry myself in volleyball, being able to communicate better with my teammates on and off the court individually or as a team. Overall helping me be a better captain to push and motivate my team.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Ive had a struggle with the adjustment to my breathing since I got asthma but have got it under control and continue to push myself. Aswell as I have had a meniscus injury leading me to not be able to play for a couple of months, but through that I continued to do what I could to get touches and exercise in at PT and home. This helped me become stronger physically and mentally to not fall behind.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that I can not only excel in the sport I love, but also be apart of a community inside and outside of volleyball. I hope to find a school with a great education and programs in criminology and/or law that can help guide me to my future career and life.

Alee brought great energy and a spark that lifted every athlete on her court. She moves with balance, gets to balls most players would give up on, and stays vocal in every phase of the game. Alee is reliable in long rallies and understands how to impact the match even outside of her touches. Her presence is steady, competitive, and mature, and she found ways to help her side execute in both offensive and defensive phases. She was calm, quick, and fully invested in the success of her teammates.
