How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My style adapts as the game unfolds and if I identify a weakness, I try to exploit.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am confident in myself and I strive to be a kind and friendly person.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have previously been involved in 4-H and have received several awards.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed leadership through communication and being a role model for my teammates and peers, although when on the court I try my best to always cheer and encourage my teammates. I’ve also developed teamwork through friendships and conversation.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I sprained my ankle day 2 of nationals this previous season but I still was cheerful and collected through the rest of the tournament

What type of college are you looking for?

I haven’t thought much about college yet as I am only 13, but I am open to larger and smaller schools.

Let’s bring out another Iowa Rockets gem. Like many of the players on this feature, Statler has ample experience as an outside hitter and a middle blocker. She primarily patrolled the middle during Saturday’s event and was an outstanding first-tempo attacker in front of the setter. Statler already has the physical gifts to dominate in the frontcourt, but she’s developing sound fundamentals in the Iowa Rockets gym, too.
