Juergens looked comfortable running a 6-2 system with PowerPlex when I saw her competing at the ’26 Mizuno Midwest JVA Challenge during the first week of May in Des Moines. That was after watching her play at the state tournament for Dallas Center-Grimes last November. Juergens appeared in 29 matches, starting three, as a Mustang sophomore in 2025. She was receiving more reps as a setter with PowerPlex and performing well with the opportunity. Technically sound in playing the position, Juergens is athletic and moves well around the court. She has a good feel for where the attackers like the ball and puts the right amount of air under it. Juergens is a solid defender at the net and in the back row as well as being reliable in serve-receive. She’s one to watch in 2026 as a prospect capable of breaking out with more reps.

thrives in out-of-system situations. She tracks tight passes, sets on the move, and maintains body control while delivering a clean window for attackers. Her hands stay soft even when contact isn’t perfect, which keeps the offense live in scramble play.
At the net, Juergens competes. She keeps blockers honest with second-contact awareness and resets tempo quickly after chaotic sequences. When points stretch longer than expected, she re-establishes structure and keeps her team organized. Setters who handle chaos well often end up controlling it. ~Theresa @prepdigdakotas

Iowa PowerPlex 16U Chapman is another notable squad honing its skills in the Horizon Events Center. Juergens will be a key contributor to that group, especially after taking a big step forward at our Exposure Tour. The Dallas Center-Grimes sophomore gained valuable on-court experience this fall and was a game-changing server for the Mustangs. This made Juergens a force in serve-pass drills who could challenge passers across the net. We’d expect nothing less from an Iowa PowerPlex standout.

Seeing time as a freshman on a talented Dallas Center-Grimes roster last season, Juergens served notice that she’s a player to watch during the next three years. I scouted her at the Northern Lights Qualifier, the Iowa Regional Qualifier and again at the Prep Dig Iowa Midwest Live Showcase in late May. Juergens is accurate on her sets, consistently putting the ball where attackers can inflict damage on the opponent. She has a special knack for the back set to the opposite pin or the middle slide. It keeps defenses on their toes.
