Bowen occupied a spot on the Northwest freshman squad last season, when the Wolves’ varsity returned to the 5A state championship match. She’s honing her skills with a talented Plex outfit this club season in steadily developing her game. I evaluated her at the Northern Lights and Iowa Regional qualifiers this year, and she’s showing progress. Bowen looked even more comfortable working at the Prep Dig Iowa Midwest Live Showcase in late May. She understands what’s needed to be a good setter and is working towards the consistency and skill development necessary to achieve that.
