Couple that with her court awareness and efficient communication, and she was tough to stop. London helped take her team’s game to the next level. She anticipated plays, was quick in coverage, and covered a lot of space in serve receive. London’s attention to detail on the court stood out as well. She is committed to Central Arkansas and is an athlete who is sure to impress at the next level.

Iowa PowerPlex 17U Mendoza’s diverse, dynamic offense needs a stabilizing back-row force to operate efficiently. Taylor will gladly embrace that niche. Pinpoint passes and sprawling defensive saves are just part of the narrative on Taylor’s scouting report. She has also flourished as a secondary setter who can consistently better the ball in scramble situations. That reliability has propelled 17U Mendoza to the Prep Dig Circuit mountaintop before, and the Midwest National Tune-Up was another positive mark on their ledger.

Beginning with London Taylor London Taylor 5'10" | DS/L Waukee Northwest | 2027 State IA , the 2027 libero was a huge part of Waukee’s success this past season. Taylor averaged 3.8 digs/set this season and 6.7 digs/set in the State Championship. She does a phenomenal job reading her opponents and putting herself in the best position to get the dig. In addition to her outstanding reading ability, she is one of those libs who refuse to let a ball drop. Lastly, she plays with composure and knows how to keep her team right there with her. If Waukee comes out on top once again, you know they’ll have Taylor running that back row.

London Taylor London Taylor 5'10" | DS/L Waukee Northwest | 2027 State IA is so solid in the backrow as one of the top liberos in the Iowa Class of 2027.  She won a state title with Waukee Northwest this fall as a junior and will be looking to repeat as a senior where they return some top talent.  She has been a key piece to the success this club season for PowerPlex 17 Mendoza who will be heading to nationals with a USA bid.

What we expect to see this weekend: Taylor covering significant floor and extending plays in fast-paced Open competition.

I’ve been banging the drum for Taylor to receive more attention along the recruiting trail for quite some time. From watching her start as a sophomore in one of the state’s top programs to shining in club last year to helping win a 5A title in November, Taylor has been as steady as they come in the back row. Long arms and sharp reflexes highlight a complete skill set in the jersey. The Waukee Northwest junior has taken another step forward during club ball this winter, as we can see from watching her highlights. Come for the kicked ball over the net, soccer style, stay for cat-like quickness throughout. Taylor is technically sound, sees the court well, has a keen understanding of the game and is a vocal leader. She’ll reward the coach that gains her college commitment.

So solid, London Taylor London Taylor 5'10" | DS/L Waukee Northwest | 2027 State IA commands the backrow like a shortstop, a middle linebacker, she has a nose for the ball.  She was part of the Class 5A state title for Waukee Northwest where they dominated the state.  The ability to train at a high level and deliver in a big game as a libero is always exciting.  Taylor has those intangibles to make a gym better and is one of the top available liberos out of the Class of 2027. 

London Taylor London Taylor 5'10" | DS/L Waukee Northwest | 2027 State IA was the starting libero for the top team in Iowa, the Waukee Northwest Wolves.  They rolled through Iowa’s largest class to the state title and didn’t lose many sets this year.  She plays with control and poise, the first contact is in good hands with her.  She will bring calm to the chaos as a libero and understands how to compete at a high level for her high school and club ball.  In the 2025 she was with RVA Roots for their 16s team out of the Des Moines area.
