Early into my scout of the Plex 15U squad at the Northern Lights Qualifier, Rus caught my attention. Lacking the traditional height and length of an outside, she still succeeded with her leaping ability and powerful right arm at the pin. Rus then continued delivering through six rotations. She did it again when evaluating her at the Iowa Regional qualifers. Ditto for her appearance at the Prep Dig Iowa Midwest Live Showcase. A player that limits mistakes no matter where she’s lining up, that capability to shine at multiple positions will keep a lot of doors open for Rus.

Rus caught my attention with her strong play the 2025 Northern Lights Qualifier last month. She followed that up with a big performance a week later at the Iowa Regional Qualifier. She can play at the opposite pin but she also operates through six rotations for PowerPlex. Rus makes up for the lack of traditional height at the pins by being an explosive athlete with an impressive vertical leap and hang time. She generates power when she swings and can defend at the net. Rus holds up very well in the back row, too.
