Now, we move from one pin to the other. Cordes has a ton of next-level potential at multiple positions, but she’s found her niche as Iowa Premier 16-1’s hard-hitting opposites. Her experience in the middle allows her to execute the team’s wide array of first-ball crossing patterns. Waukee Northwest has enjoyed plenty of underclassman production from Cordes, and that’s instantly translating to club prosperity.

, a player who has proven once again why she is so highly ranked. Although Cordes wasn’t used much on the offensive side in the state championship, she played a huge role defensively. The MB averaged about 2 blocks per set through the whole tournament, and those blocks stayed consistent throughout the season. Offensively, the sophomore racked up 185 kills and 28 aces during the season. With the amount of maturity she has shown in her gameplay the last two years, I am very excited to see how she leads this team as an upperclassman.

of Iowa Premier 16-1. I have watched Cordes the past two years and have seen her game evolve. On the high school courts, she was on the top team in Iowa as a middle blocker. On the club courts she’s been playing on the pin, mostly the right side. With her experience at multiple positions, she reads the court well with a fast arm swing. She is going to be one to watch this weekend where Iowa Premier will be looking to break through to gold pools on day two and beyond.

is that she can terminate in multiple front row positions. For her Waukee Northwest high school team she is a terminal middle blocker, she can run multiple routes and tempos to score points. For Iowa Premier, she can play on the pin. I like her ability to block, attack, and score points on the right side. With an expanded backcourt game she could be one who could play six rotations and attack out of right back.
