We’re overdue for a check-in with Ohana, which always brings some notable frontcourt gems to the Prep Dig Showcase. Heffernan added to the list through her power and tremendous court vision on the right pin. Aside from her ability to take over matches as a terminator, Heffernan also knows how to read opposing setters and align herself properly as a wing blocker. We were introduced to multiple layers of Heffernan’s game as the Stock Up Showcase progressed, and it all came together for some outstanding six-on-six output.

The rich get richer as Waukee Northwest will add another quality prospect to the fold this season in Heffernan. The incoming Wolves freshman brings an already impressive lefty swing to the pin, as she flashed time and time again during the Prep Dig Iowa Stock Up Showcase during July in Clive. The power is advanced for her age with a chance for more with added strength. Heffernan is a good athlete that can jump and move well laterally. She shows a good feel for the block. Heffernan stands out the most at the opposite pin, but she can put it away on the outside, too.
