Expert Analysis
Guilherme Torres | Prep Dig Scout
Witte’s steady production was a major asset for Fulshear, who got consistent production from her from the start to the end of the match. The explosive outside hitter didn’t hold anything back when she saw an opportunity to swing hard, but was incredibly intelligent and resourceful to score off of tips, roll shots or tooling the block when that wasn’t the case. Witte also got aces in key moments of the match, giving her team room to breathe during the sets. Her passing was always reliable and gave her team a lot of offensive stability.

Witte will be with Houston Skyline 17 Black this weekend. A very technical player who also has some interesting physical tools, she has been developing her game at a very fast pace over the last couple of years. Witte is extremely solid on the backcourt and is used to taking on a major role when it comes to passing and playing defense, providing some interesting tactical flexibility to her teams. She’s used to being more of a secondary scoring option with her high school team Fulshear, but has a major scoring role with Skyline, using her explosiveness and excellent vision to put the ball down at the pin.

Fulshear’s second outside hitter, Witte also had a very strong game, paving the way for the team’s dominant victory. She was always a reliable scoring option at the pin and managed to put the ball down in a variety of ways. When she had a chance, Witte would swing hard, using her power to beat Montgomery’s defenders. When the opposing blockers managed to challenge her above the net, she found smart solutions to it, using tips and tooling the block. Witte also was very solid with her passing the entire time.

If Warren was Fulshear’s most productive player, Witte was arguably their most consistent performer throughout the match. Her game remained steady from start to finish and she contributed well on both sides of the ball. Witte sided out in difficult moments and in out-of-system plays, tooling the block or tipping with great intelligence. She also passed well and got some important digs. The outside hitter got back-to-back aces in a critical moment in set three and played a major role in her team’s victory in that set.

Normally used as an outside hitter, Witte played as a defensive specialist and played a key role for her team. Her presence on the court in the backcourt rotations allowed Rachel Nordt, originally a middle, to get the job done at the net. Witte handled most of the serve-receive alongside libero
