Gameplay on the court is strategic, reading and anticipating what the opponent will do. Blair makes quick adjustments and is solid all-around, with a balanced approach to offense and defense. Her powerful hits are paired with smart ball placement, making her a major threat. She stays calm under pressure, always focusing on the bigger picture, and it shows in how consistent and composed she is.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
Blair has a resilient mindset. She stays calm, communicates well, and brings a competitive edge, always pushing herself to do her best while respecting her opponents. Whether on or off the court, Blair is there to support and lift up her teammates, often making them laugh and keeping the vibe light. Her leadership and ability to keep the team motivated are clearly shown by being elected captain.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
Smile club - committed to promoting a culture of non-violence such as bullying, dating, and spread the word to make the world a better place
Beta club - promotes the ideals of academic achievement, character, service and leadership. Blair competes annually to showcase her work
Kentucky Youth Assembly - service organization directed by the YMCA
Basketball - competitive school team
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
Teamwork skills on how to trust and rely on others, lead by example, and support teammates' strengths for the benefit of the team. This experience deepened Blair's sense of community, not just with her teammates but also with the fans. She understands that being part of a team goes beyond just playing the game—it's about lifting each other up, creating a supportive environment, and being inclusive
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
The volleyball team faced emotional and physical challenges after Blair was hit by a car. Seeing their teammate and leader in pain, with her recovery uncertain, shook everyone deeply. The real challenge was learning to cope with fear and worry while still supporting each other as a team. Through this experience, Blair learned valuable lessons in resilience, unity, and how to step into a new role.
