Makenna is a middle blocker who has some tremendous upside when it comes to her volleyball game, and is someone we can’t wait to see standout against her peers at this event. She has really come a long ways with her offensive game, and can really run a lot of different sets along the front row. She has a wide range with her attacking as well, being able to the deep corners or sharper angles when it is called upon. She is also someone who puts up a very big block, and can take up a lot of space with her blocking. Most importantly she has a great ability to transition efficiently from blocking to offense makes herself a reliable scoring option in the middle. Makenna is someone who is in the top 25 at the moment and one of the best 5 middles in her class. She is firmly on our radar and we can’t wait to see how she does against other girls in her class. I think she is someone who could make a big statement, especially out of the middles at our showcase.

Makenna Ramsey Makenna Ramsey 6'0" | MB Casteel | 2030 State AZ is a name we believe the Arizona volleyball community is going to be hearing for years to come. She brings a dynamic presence to the court with her quick attack, high volleyball IQ, and ability to score in a variety of ways. What really stands out is how intentional she is with her ball placement — she doesn’t just swing hard, she swings smart.

She’s also a major factor at the net defensively. Makenna consistently puts up a strong block, and her press form is fundamentally sound and picture perfect. Add in her ability to capitalize on overpasses and transition quickly into offense, and it’s easy to see why she continues to impress us every time we watch her play.

There’s so much potential in her game already, and we truly believe her career at Casteel is going to be something special. We’re excited to watch her continue to develop and see where this journey takes her.
