One of the biggest surprises of the showcase was how much impact she made despite being one of the smaller middles in the gym. I honestly didn’t even notice she was 5’6″ because of her impressive vertical, athleticism, and ability to play above the net. She was extremely efficient offensively, consistently finding deep corners that are difficult for defenders to handle and making smart decisions with very few errors. She also showed great confidence attacking aggressively on overpasses, taking advantage of opportunities and putting pressure on the defense. Defensively, it was clear she has been taught strong blocking fundamentals—she stayed disciplined, avoided reaching, and did a great job pressing back into zone 6 rather than giving hitters an easy tool. As she continues to develop, adding a consistent slide attack or back 6 will only make her more dangerous. Her athleticism, efficiency, and volleyball IQ make her a player who should not be overlooked.
