Cavanaugh set for the Grand Oaks team that ended the event with five wins and three losses. The back-to-back state champions are inserting new pieces into their starting lineup this season and the senior did well in connecting with them, standing out with her distribution and her ability to keep everyone involved. Cavanaugh always looked very calm on the court and was very consistent, keeping the team in a steady offensive rhythm. The setter also contributed some nice serving and solid defense, and did a good job of communicating with her teammates.
