Dotson has seen her consistency among other aspects of her game pick up as the result of the competition she’s seen and the teammates she has. Dotson paints lines well and angles balls off blocks well for big points. Dotson uses a nice platform to make sound passes. Her dedication will go a long way for 66 Elite and Lafayette the rest of her career.

Dotson is also a great asset to her club and high school teams. She is constantly encouraging her teammates.

Carli has a great presence at the net with good court IQ to make good plays. She sets herself up for the ball and connects when given the opportunity. She has a good attack with a healthy swing and text book mechanics, revealing good contact and placement making strong sound kills. She provides good cover for her teammates on the front line and is moving to following the play well waiting for her chance to put it put there. She can serve up net skimming aces and digs up balls with grit. She is one to keep tabs on as she moves up the ladder. No doubt it will happen for her!

Dotson hopes to help the Generals make it to the 11th Region Tournament for the first time since 2011 this fall. It will be a tough task in the loaded 43rd District, but Dotson has been a great encourager and communicator with her club teammates on the 15 Elite team and looks to continue that at Lafayette this fall, trying to get them to believe they can climb that mountain. Dotson has a sound jump serve and does what she can to control the net. Dotson has a good vertical forcing opponents out of their powerful hitting comfort zones. Dotson takes powerful swings on balls. The tough competition Dotson faced during club season in practice and games could help her out immensely this fall.
